Community Acupuncture Program

Whether it’s your first experience with acupuncture, or you are a regular, community acupuncture offers a fun and affordable way to have an acupuncture treatment.  For $15, patients will complete a short intake form, have a brief one-on-one consultation with one of our naturopathic doctors, and receive a treatment.  You are encouraged to choose a refreshment, sit back, relax, and socialize with the others in attendance, while the needles do the work.

Things to remember before your visit:

• Wear comfortable loose clothing that allows easy access to your forearms, lower legs, feet, hands and face;
• Have a light snack before coming to the clinic to make sure you aren’t hungry during your treatment;
• Visit the washroom before your treatment so that you can fully enjoy your experience;
• If you wish to not participate in any socialization, bring along ear plugs or some music and headphones and a sleep mask so you can enjoy your treatment undisturbed; 
• Cell phones are not permitted during the treatment sessions.  Please respect the therapeutic nature of the session and leave your cell phone in the car or turn it off before entering the clinic.

In order to ensure a safe and effective treatment, let us know if you are:

• Pregnant or think you might be pregnant;
• Taking blood thinners or blood pressure medications;
• Under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
• Phobic of needles or have a history of fainting before, during, or after having a needle.
