Chiropractic Services Provided at Our Clinic:

Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) is a movement based soft tissue therapy that helps restore range of motion and reduce pain. It is a helpful therapy for any condition that results from overused muscles such as  tension headache, posture related stiffness, and muscle injury, to name a few. An A.R.T. session will involve assessment of your muscles, as well as treatment using specific muscle moments to help restore optimal function.

When a spinal assessment reveals that joint pain may be occurring due to stiffness in a specific joint, a chiropractor may determine a spinal manipulation would be beneficial. It involves a high velocity, low amplitude thrust, and may elicit an audible ‘pop’, which is completely harmless, and simply gasses escaping from the joint space.

Graston Technique is a soft tissue therapy using metal instruments to assist in the healing process of injured or painful ligaments, tendons, and muscles. It is an evidence based therapy that helps to break up scar tissue and remove fascial restrictions, thereby restoring a normal range of motion.

A proper orthopedic evaluation of your area of concern using special test helps to properly diagnose an issue, and can direct the best treatment approach to promote optimal recovery.

Dr. Lemire uses a variety of soft tissue therapies in practice. From using a ‘thumper’ to help warm up your muscles prior to treatment, to stretching and strengthening exercises to be done between treatments to fully recovery and prevent recurrence.

When painful or injured tissues need additional support, muscle and joint taping are good options. Athletic taping is often used to support joints after an injury (i.e. sprained ankle), whereas k-taping can be used to support and stabilize muscles and joints without impeding motion of the joint or blood circulation.
